Bob French began practicing law on June 7, 1963. He organized Robert B. French, Jr., P.C. January 17, 1975, shortly after professional corporations were authorized in Alabama. The firm has been in its own office building at 308 Alabama Avenue Southwest, Fort Payne, Alabama 35967 since January 6, 1968.
Various lawyers have either worked for the firm or been stockholders in the firm. Edwin L. Nelson, left the firm to become a Federal Judge in Birmingham. Michael Brownfield left the firm to become became an Administrative Law Judge with the Social Security Administration. Jerry Barksdale left for private practice and is the author of several well-known books. Tommy French Ray left the firm to practice independently in Trussville, Alabama.
Throughout the years, Bob French has managed the firm, building a very wide reputation as a trial lawyer of the highest integrity, while very aggressive on behalf of his clients.
